Occam’s razor and terrorism (they “hate freedom”?)

<– Video Songs

If your aim is to stay precarious,
proud and precarious,
then stay your course.
If your aim is to stay
loud and proud
within a mindless crowd
and be precarious
…then stay your course.
Otherwise, consider the following:

An obvious reason is usually better
than a meticulously abstracted excuse.
Why do we live
with the threat of terrorism?
“We terrorize them”
is a safer guess
(though far less satisfying)
than the more popular,
“they hate freedom”.

Which is more likely:
“They resent our terrorism against them”
or “they simply hate our freedom”?
(An obvious reason is usually better
than a meticulously abstracted excuse.)
